Our Approach
At Mind Matters NE CIC, our support is always personalised, shaped by what you know about your own needs. We co-design each step with you, because we believe in working with you, not to you. Our community, participants and networks guide how we deliver programmes, ensuring they are inclusive and relevant. We champion social prescribing, connecting people to activities and local services that build confidence, reduce isolation and improve wellbeing through community-based support
How It Works?
1. Connect with us (via GP, Community Group or Self-Referral)
Get in touch directly via our contact form, phone, or referral from a partner organisation. We’ll arrange a friendly introduction call to get to know you and what you’re looking for.
2. Attend a 30 min consultation (Telephone or Virtually)
One of our team will A lived‐experience team member will talk through your interests, preferences and challenges. This step helps us match you to the best‑fitting programme, whether that’s Doorstep Connections, Bike and Banter or Connect and Thrive.
3. Choose the right programme for you
We’ll guide you to the right programme for you to participate in:
-
Doorstep Connections – informal doorstep chats and signposting.
-
Bike and Banter – guided cycling with peer support and outdoor conversation.
-
Connect and Thrive – a 6‑week wellbeing programme combining group work and one-to‑one sessions.
4. Start Your Journey
We’ll send over a welcome pack and your first session details. Each programme is crafted to give you space to build community, explore wellbeing tools, or grow skills—at your own pace.
5.Regular Check-ins
Throughout your participation, you’ll have regular check-ins to see how it’s going and shape what happens next. Your feedback helps us refine the programme and ensures it stays relevant and supportive.
6. Support That Sustains and for as long as you need it
We track wellbeing progress and, where appropriate, help you connect to ongoing groups, services or opportunities. As a social enterprise, your involvement helps us support others—so every story shared makes a difference.
